NEET 2017 is one of the most important entrance exam conducted in India for candidates who wish to
study MBBS, BDS or postgraduate course (MD/MS) in private or government medical colleges in India. NEET 2017 for BDS and MBBS courses is organized by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). This NEET-UG is one and only exam for Medical admissions and it has replaced the AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test) and all other individual MBBS exams organized by states or colleges themselves.

MBBS Admission 2017- Admission Procedure, Important Dates, and Eligibilty Criteria

Admission Procedure  for MBBS and BDS 

The candidates will be admitted for the MBBS and BDS courses on the basis of their performance in national level examination NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test). NEET examination will be organized by Central Board of Secondary Education for selecting students for medical courses. In India more than 53565 seats are available for admissions in MBBS programme.

MBBS Admission 2017

The candidates seeking for admission in MBBS programmes, can apply for the NEET examination in the month of December 2016. The application form will be available till the last week of December 2016. The examination will be organized in the month of May 2017.

Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Entrance Exam 2017

1. Indian Nationals & OCI candidates can apply for this exam.
2. Candidates must have passed in the 12th or equivalent exam with PCB and English subjects from any recognized board.
3. Must have completed the age of 17 years as or on 31st December of the year of admission.
4. Maximum age limit for general candidates  is 25 Years and 30 years for SC/ST candidates.

Selection Procedure for MBBS Admissions 2017

A merit list will be prepared af ter the NEET examination as per the marks scored in the entrance test. Students have to attend a  counselling process as per the ranks secured in the rank list where they can choose the colleges.
